These expectations trip us up all the time and cause lots of problems such as:
Taking us out of our body, where sex happens, and into our heads.
Focusing us on the future, rather than the present moment.
Losing connection with our body and our own sensation and pleasure
Losing connection with our partner
Flooding our body with anxiety, guaranteeing that we will not have the outcome we were hoping for.
